Leah Brown
Practice Leader
Leah Brown thrives on connecting with people, learning about their career journeys and uncovering what employers are looking for in their next great hires. Her relationship-building skills, coupled with her ability to quickly grasp information about a vast number of industries, particularly enjoying the science and technology sectors, make her a natural fit for her role as Practice Leader.
Leah views herself as a matchmaker, adept at introducing quality candidates to companies in need of their skills. She has been perfecting this craft for eight years, initially at a large contingency recruiting firm before joining Duffy Group.
Her affinity for the Duffy Recruitment Research™ model has empowered her and her team to participate in the entire search process, facilitating close collaboration with both external and internal candidates. Moreover, she achieves cost savings for her clients – reducing traditional recruitment fees by about 50%.
Leah holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kent State University. She is enthusiastic about applying her skills to volunteer work with environmental nonprofit groups. A Pittsburgh native, she has served as a land/volunteer steward of Friends of Riverfront, which cleans up the city’s riverfront trails, and Allegheny Land Trust, which conserves national land and creates trails and wetland gardens.
When she’s not working, Leah is undoubtedly outdoors, exploring vast trails by foot or mountain bike. She and her husband and her son are avid supporters of their beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates and enjoy visiting the community’s hotspots with their Chi-weenie, Jerome.
