    Construction Recruitment

As the United States celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the first celebration of Earth Day, there is much to consider.  The decade following the event in 1970 marked some of America’s most powerful environmental legislation, including the establishment of the Environmental Protection Agency. Today, we are confronted with different challenges; climate change, and the rolling back of the protections designed for the health and safety of our planet and its people, to name a few. Leaders in the construction industry are well aware of the significant impact they have on the environment. They will need to utilize creative construction recruiting solutions to do their part to minimize their environmental footprint.

Here in Arizona, we are fortunate to have Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West – his winter home and School of Architecture established in 1937. Wright believed in designing structures in harmony with humanity and the environment, a philosophy he called organic architecture. He would have been among the first to recognize the mutually beneficial relationship between today’s changes which protect the environment, and the improvements in the quality of construction products and profits for construction firms. A good construction executive recruiter can help find those candidates who share common philosophies.

    Eco-Friendly Construction Strategies

There are several strategies which forward thinking leaders in today’s construction industry can use to  lower their environmental impact. Implementing Eco-Building Design by strategically planning window placement, and using natural or recycled building materials, along with partnering with solar energy leaders, for example.

On the construction site, attention can be paid to lowering the noise generated by upgrading and maintaining heavy machinery. Recycling and repurposing materials reduce construction site waste and save room in local landfills.

Looking Toward a Bright Future with the Right Construction Management

On Earth Day 2020 we can see the positive environmental impact of world citizens observing quarantine orders due to the COVID-19 health crisis. Layers of brown air pollution hanging over our urban cities have given way to blue skies, and families are enjoying spending time together outdoors. Flamingos add a pink glow to the river in Mumbai, India.  Venice canals are so clear you can see jellyfish floating by.

As we emerge from our current crisis to rebuild our economy, talented and resourceful construction executive recruiters can partner with industry leaders to proactively search for the right candidate to usher in sustainable, green, and environmentally friendly methods and practices.

Frank Lloyd Wright said, “ No house should ever be on a hill or on anything. It should be of the hill. Belonging to it. Hill and house should live together, each the happier for the other.”

As leaders consider the use of construction management recruitment agencies, we strive to be that partner – each the happier for the other.  Please be in touch if there is a way we can help.
